This is a recent family picture we had taken. Nate is getting so big!! He is all toddler, that's for sure. We went to a Thanksgiving party today and spent time with two of our friends who have recently returned from China with 2 beautiful girls. Joel and I get so excited and are so grateful for this opportunity. Speaking of, I'd love to share how this came about.
June 8, 2006 we received a phone call from our good friends, Julie and Andy. They shared how God had laid on their hearts to find a family to bring another baby home from China (they had just returned with their daughter) using the funds from a memorial fund that was set up 2 years (to the day) prior for their daughter, Naomi, who passed away the same day she was delivered. Well, as I was listening to the dream Julie was sharing, my heart skipped a beat as she was approaching US!!! WOW, was I excited. I told her I really needed to run this past Joel and see where his heart was. After Joel saw the happy tears in my eyes, he knew this was from the Lord!! We had dinner with Julie and Andy the next evening and knew this was such a gift, and of the Lord's calling. So, here we are.....receiving a gift we can never repay....very humbled and gracious. Thank you Andy and Julie. Naomi's journey continues!!
