We Made it.....

We arrived in Guangzhou about an hour ago....safe and sound. The flight was interesting with 2 tired, hungry children and if any indication of what's to come on our journey home, well, we need A LOT of prayer!!!!! The luggage took a bit to come in and then we waited at the hotel lobby for our room to be ready. They appear very busy right now. The hotel is AWESOME....nothing like we have ever stayed in before. We cannot wait to venture out tomorrow.....and see the island!!! Right now, we are attempting to put the kiddos to bed, Naomi in our bed and Nate on a pallet on the floor. We are all very tired from our day of travel, and thankful to have a cool room, a warm bed, a beautiful view, and 2 beautiful children!!! AMEN?
Tomorrow we are heading to the doctor to have Naomi examined. Sounds pretty brief and they probably will not go into a whole lot of detail. We also have an appointment with the cardiologist the Friday we return to the states.

You are homesick to be here...and I would do anything to be there! And not just because there is an endless supply of breakfast at the White Swan. We are so blessed. We can't wait to get you all back here so we can love on you in person. Do know that you are on our thoughts and in our prayers OFTEN (even when the comments are slow, Joel).

While you are out and about in Guangzhou, look for the statue of the lady playing violin and all the little children following her. I called that the Lee-Anne statue, so you should visit the only thing in China named after you. You've also got to go to the grease pit of Lucy's (I think that is the right name) just for the experience. Oh, I wish I was there! Have fun talking prices with all those store owners (my least favorite part) and remember that everything you buy, you have to carry back. On second thought, forget that - like you said, chance of a lifetime, go crazy! It'll all get home somehow. :)

We love you and miss you and can't wait to see all of you in person!

You are right--they are BOTH just beautiful. I can't even begin to imagine the experience you are having. And how amazing it will be to come home with your baby girl right before the holidays.

Be safe--you are in my thoughts and prayers!
