The plane has landed....in Wuhan, Hubai

We enjoyed a day at Tieneman Square and a traditional chinese meal with our guide and driver. It was a nice, more relaxing day today. We spent the remainder of the afternoon and evening traveling to Wuhan, Hubai....where Naomi is!!!! WOW - it got all the more emotional and real as we drove the hour through the town...we are hours away!!!! Praise Jesus for this journey and for the days to come. Our guide has been doing this for 8 years and seems very experienced and comfortable with helping us as much as possible. We are meeting him at 9:30Am (8:30PM Louisville time) to go and meet Naomi at the adoption office (not the institute). The hotel is 15 minutes away from the office...good thing, cause I could not handle much more!! Once we have her in our arms, we will have time to bond, etc then travel to the local store for formula, etc. (and likely a heavy coat for her, it is 20 degrees colder than the weather predicted when we packed last week). All is well. We are very tired, this is later than we have stayed up since we got here. We are settling in, getting our paperwork together and heading to bed....our last night as a family of 3!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, the grocery items & squatty potties were scary. Looks like Nate might need to hire some body guards while he's there! Thankful Namomi won't have to be potty trained with split pants. The excitement continues to build! Four Fenwicks soon!

You weren't kidding about Nate having fans! The pics with the huge group around him is crazy. We are praying for sleep for you guys, although we doubt you will get a wink of it with the excitement! We can't wait to see your daughter. Love, The Daniels

It is funny to see what a sensation Nate is AND how much he is obviously LOVING it. I feel a bit bad for him when he comes back to the US and is just a cute kid.
Since Bo insists on completely disrobing from the waist down every time he goes to the bathroom, I think the split pants are genius. Although, I do shiver at the thought of that winter draft.
Wondering if you will post before you leave in the morning or if the next one will be the big one! Is it both strange feeling and comforting to know that your daughter is only a fifteen minute drive from you right now?
Praying that you are sleeping right now and letting us count down the hours. 7 hours, 15 minutes and driving time at the time I write this!
We love you Fenwicks!

Had a great time at church this morning pondering God's love...remember his love as you get your pre-loved daughter! WE are praying for you and love you so much. Your posts bring many smiles of your rock star son and experience in China. God Bless you.

Hello Nate,
We have loved looking at all of your pictures. You must be having so much fun and are learning so much about China. You will have to tell us all about it when we come to Louisville next. Naomi is going to be so excited when she sees her new big brother. Praying that everyone keeps getting some sleep to give you energy during the day. Looking forward to seeing more pictures of you and little Naomi. We love you.

Yeah!!! So excited to see Naomi! We missed you at church today. Kristi gave a great testimony. I am sure you would have enjoyed it. She reminded us of the love the Father has for us. She quoted Eph. 3:16-19 "that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." May you be blessed with a good night of sleep. We are rejoicing with you in Jesus.
