We Made it!!

After a LOOOONG flight and journey to our hotel (Friday night rush hour in Beijing), we made it!!!!!!We felt the prayers all the way here. Some of you must have been burning the midnight oil on our behalf. We all did GREAT in the flight. Literally, our ONLY panic moment was when we boarded the plane and could not find the TV's....we really thought we were in for a LONG ride without the TV's.....we had promised Nate he would be able to watch movies and he was so looking forward to that!!! Needless to say, we found them underneath our seats! WHEW!!!!Nate ate well, slept some and was very content to play, watch movies and hang with the crew......Joel and I did great as well. The food was very yummy and we had LOTS of leg room due to the fact that our seats were the front row of that section. The lady to my left in the photo was funny...she spoke not a word of english and did not understand the meaning of personal space.....so I had HER and NATE all up in my seat.....:)Our guide, Scott, met us outside of customs and took us to our hotel for the evening. We are all pretty tired and have an early day tomorrow as we will be driving 1 1/2 hours to see the Great Wall and a few other AWESOME sites close by!! We are excited.
We'll post more tomorrow.
Much love from Beijing!!

Welcome to Beijing. Glad to hear the flight was going well. We were thinking of you often. At one point we were thinking that you were pretty close to the north pole and wondered what the view looks like in the fall...now I know. The same as spring - white! Hope your first night's sleep in China was restful and that you get a great view of the Great Wall. Nate, don't wear out your dad climbing all those stairs! Love you guys and am more emotional than I ever imagined about watching your journey from this side of the world. You are in our hearts and prayers. Many blessings in the days ahead!

Hellllooooo from around the world! Inspite of the fact I am just now sending a "formal" word your way, we Robsons have been mentally/prayerfully with you ALL THE WAY (okay, okay . . . maybe not LITERALLY the duration of the 20 hour flight, but ALOT). Praise the Lord for your safety thus far and for what looks to be EXCEPTIONALLY comfortable accommodations. By the time you read this, you will have done the GREAT WALL, which leads to my next extremely important question: how are your calves ? . . . and thighs . . . ? and . . .
Gonna sign off for now . . . May God's protection and peace surround you as He prepares to place precious Naomi in your arms. ONLY 2 1/2 DAYS TO GO!!

In His Love -- the Robsons
