My apologies!!!
..for leaving you hanging...we got our power back! (actually a week ago, and life has been that hectic that it has taken me a week to post!)
It's amazing the things I take for granted...like my home, running water, electricity, my own schedule, etc. We ended staying with my aunt and uncle and 2 cousins and their families. It was fun. Nate and Naomi had a blast playing with all their cousins. It was like a party!!
We are getting back to normal these days. School started back, which was good for Nate (and me to be totally honest), Naomi has settled right back into a routine, and really adjusted quite well when we were out of routine as well...I am so very thankful for flexible children. I think I need to learn a thing or two from them.
This next week Naomi has her follow up with her cardiologist. She will have a new test done, to compare to the one done back in November, then the plan is to schedule the procedure from there. It will be done here locally at the children's hospital.
I registered Nate for kindergarten this past week. So hard for me to believe he is going to be 5 in less than 2 months and go to school in less than 6 months!!! Wasn't it just yesterday that we were praising God for an amazing young woman's decision as she chose us to be his mommy and daddy?? (sniff, sniff) As much as I may not be ready, I see that he is. He is very social and active and gets so excited when we talk about school and his new friends and new teacher. For now, I think we'll just look forward to spring and then summer and enjoy the days and months ahead. That "first day" will come soon enough.
Naomi is doing wonderful! She has taken several steps this week!!! The most she has taken, all on her own, has been about 8-10. It has been so fun to be a part of that milestone - I must admit I cried when we heard that she was not walking yet, as I prayed earnestly that we would get to be a part of that!! The Lord answered our prayers!
OK, it's getting late and we have a big week ahead. We pray you are doing well.
Much love from the Fenwicks!
