We are home....
After a long 24 hours in pre-op, heart cath lab, post-op, another post-op, ICU and another room, WE ARE HOME.....and thankful to be well enough to be home. WOW - is pretty much all I can say as to 1.How God worked through this trial, 2. All we saw and how many very sick children there are at the hospital, 3. How well Naomi is doing not even 24 hours post-op.....God is so good!
Naomi's heart is functioning better....not perfect or even mild- but rather ieal and moderate.....her pressures that we wanted to read between 25-30 went from 100 to 50....still high but better than before and she compensates well and is thriving. Her aortic valve will likley need to be replaced and we will address that as she grows. We are hoping for many years until we come to that......
There are reasons the Lord allows these trials and some I see today and some I may never see this side of Heaven. Naomi and I bonded (as I slept IN her crib for 10 1/2 hours with her snuggled into me), we met a brave little girl named Leanna battling cancer, I was able to see first hand the sickness some children go through and better understand what parents of ICU patients endure, hoping to return to my ministering to Kosair patients again soon......
Amazing God we serve.....truly amazing. He has me speechless most of the time.....He is truly the Lord of my life...and I pray He is yours too!

Hey! This is great stuff. Thanks for taking the time to keep us informed. In the future, when you make a Blog update, will you post it on FB? I check from time-to-time but it'd be great to know when the content is updated. Just a small request from one of your loyal blog visitors. :)
And awesome that you fit in the crib! See, the Lord knew he didn't need to grow you much more. :)

I am glad all the prayers have been answered. Your blog and your journey have been such a blessing to me.
I get the honor of being Claire Harris' Nana and I know you and Kim have kept in contact. Thanks for sharing this with us.
